The train is my new favorite way to travel. I’m taking an Amtrak up to WI for a weekend of brewery tours, a steak house, and helping my in-laws set up their new iPhones.

Amtrak is great:

• No security/TSA theater
• no turbulence
• roomier seats in coach
• Heineken and M&Ms
• working from my iPad thanks to 3G I’ve already paid for and not having to buy expensive WiFi in the sky
• a quiet ride
• plenty of interestingness flying by my window
