Comcast boosts upload speeds in Denver area

“Performance” service customers now get upload speeds of up to 1 Mbps, and “Performance PLUS” (the caps mean ‘more better’) get 2 Mbps.

Looks like we’re on the PLUS plan. This is good news for my Mozy online backup that’s still chomping away at our 250GB+ iTunes library; maybe it’ll finish sometime in 2008.

Oh it helped a ton. Mozy backups now sustain a good 500-700Kbps at night, and I notice much larger chunks of our 250GB iTunes library backed up in each sitting. I'm incredibly pleased.

So did this help the speed of online backup, or is it fast for just the first 10 MB?
