About
David Chartier on November 19th, 2007
I am a writer for Ars Technica and its Infinite Loop journal. I like to write about technology, software, and culture while studying human beings and being human. Oh, and coffee is a spectacular invention.
1FPS stands for “One Frame Per Second,” which is sometimes about as fast as you can work in the motion graphics industry. I’m not doing motion work right now, but the concept stuck with me while focusing on the trade and finishing school. When exploring the realms of technology and culture, I sometimes work at one frame per second since, often times, everything matters if you want to build a thorough understanding of the topic.
