On VentureBeat’s iPad mini price breakdown

  1. You said “analysts” in the second sentence to wrap up the lede, but you still want us to take you seriously
  2. Over 540 words about “leaked” pricing that could very well be far off base. Really?
  3. Is Apple more expensive than the competition? Is this poor, battered horse still dead? The company has long been perfectly competitive or even cheaper when you compare actual apples to actual apples (and not, say, a MacBook Pro to an eMachine). Then again, Android is used in featurephones and (maybe) light bulbs, so…
  4. We seem to have entered the realm of total tablet purpose and pricing anarchy. A mythical 7-inch tablet for media consumption like the Nexus 7 and Kindle Fire is now being compared to a next-generation PC designed, largely in part, for super serial business work. Why not compare it to the $69 Kindle and declare Apple the charlatan?
  5. Everyone knows it would be iPad mini, not Mini. Ugh

flattr this!
