And let’s be honest here. Like the hot girl in high school, [Apple’s 24-inch LED Cinema Display] is beautiful but ultimately just a high-priced, manipulative bimbo.

Jeff Rock: DisplayPort of Pain

Apple’s new LED Cinema Display is great if you’re using it with a MacBook Pro. But for other very common configurations—such as a dual-display setup that Jeff hit a brick wall with—Apple completely dropped the ball. The cables are “comically” short, and having to buy a second $350 video card to run a second $900 display is absolutely ridiculous. The final kicker is that Apple didn’t design the octo-core Mac Pros to power this setup. It’s a complete joke.
